The VM8090 8 Channel USB Relay Card (Velleman Module No Soldering Required)
With eight relays and a USB interface, the Velleman VM8090 can give you more control from your computer. Each relay can handle a load up to 16 Amps because of the transient suppression VDR (type VDR300). The VM8090 works well with inductive loads. On-board buttons will allow you to activate the relays for testing manual operation, for toggle, momentary, or timer operation (selectable through software).
LEDs will tell you when the board has power and which relays are active. You can download the test software, DLL, and examples from the Velleman website to develop your own custom software. The VM8090 can use AC 9 to 10 power or a DC power supply 12 to 14 volts. Looking for a USB interface board? Try the Velleman K8055 USB Interface I/O Board Kit.
