Fuses - Fast and Slow Acting

When excessive electrical current flows through a fuse or ciruit, such as during an electrical storm, or when too many appliances are connected to one outlet, this can cause fuses to "blow" or circuits to "trip". Luckily, fuses can be easily replaced. They are round and screw into a socket very much like the socket for a light bulb. The fuse can be unscrewed by turning it counter-clockwise. To replace a fuse, make sure to replace the blown fuse with a fuse of the same, or lower, ampere rating than the one you are replacing.
