Capacitors
Capacitors - Ceramic and Electrolytic Condensers
Also known as a condenser, this electrical passive two-terminal component is used to store energy, such as in a flash-lamp, rather than reduce the flow like a resistor. All capacitors contain at least two electrical conductors separated by an insulator such as glass, ceramic, plastic, or even air. Velleman manufactures electrolytic capacitors which are widely used in power supplies to reduce noise, or in DC link circuits where control over the speed and torque of a motor are needed.
